The Mews Spot

New Format for the SPK Issue of the Bulletin!

The Studs and Promising Kittens issue will be titled "Bengal Kittens" and will be available for a full year. It will be distributed to public venues---somewhat like the Kittens USA magazine. The content of this issue will be aimed at the kitten buyer. In addition there will be no ad borders, which will give you more room for your cat pictures. Last, this issue of the Bulletin will be available free to Judges of all registrys.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get information about your cattery and cats out to THE PUBLIC for an enTIRE YEAR!

Prices are 1/3rd of a page, $80; 2/3rds page, $140; full page, $200. The deadline is the dreaded (in America anyway) April 15. Contact the editor@tibcs.com.

New Cat Wheel Price

The new Cat Wheel pricing is $295 + $95 shipping (US) anywhere in USA. Contact president@tibcs.com for shipping quotes outside USA. Also, you can get 2 or 3 for $250 each; again contact the President for price breaks on higher quantities.

Bengals Are Most Popular Breed of Cat

The Bengal has topped The International Cat Association's (TICA's) list of the most kittens and cats, for the first time ever.

The Bengal has more than 60,000 kittens and cats around the world, according to TICA. This makes them the most popular breed of 2008, finally ahead of such breeds as the Persian, Ragdoll, Maine Coon, and Siamese. TICA recognizes 55 breeds of cats.

Raffles Paused

PayPal, with whom we have our account, has objected to the raffles (claiming they are gambling). We’re trying to work this out, but in the meantime the raffles are off line.

Heritage Conservation Fund

TIBCS is celebrating its TWENTIETH year of Bengal Bulletin publication with a special tribute to the ALC foundation of our breed. To honor this historic anniversary year, the TIBCS Executive Board has established a new charitable endeavor, our Heritage Conservation Fund, to collect donations each year to award a grant each January to a group working to preserve ALC habitat in the wild. While the Asian Leopard Cat is widely distributed and uses various environments, populations are under increasing threats from habitat destruction, hunting, and trapping. Anthony Hutcherson and Karen Sausman have assisted in establishing guidelines for this Fund; both are uniquely qualified to do so.
